Charles Lemanceau is a famous ceramist from the Art Deco period. He exhibited in particular with Le Corbusier, Matisse and Mallet-Stevens.
In the 1920s, he worked for the Saint-Clément earthenware factory. Later he also worked for the famous Galeries Lafayette.
Very well known for its ceramic statues representing animals.
This cracked earthenware and ivory colour model is very representative of his work.
