Antique champagne glass set composed of 6 pieces in hand-engraved and cut crystal with 6 petals and gold decoration. This model is an example of the 'papal' cut, so named because it derives from the Pope's model, and for its cuts, which define the panel. The Pope's model was commissioned by Pope Pius XI in 1923, while its successor, Lady Hamilton, was made for the first time in 1934. Lady Hamilton became one of Moser's most outstanding models, and its popularity continues to this day. They are not signed, as they were made prior to 1936. The Czech engraver, Ludwig Moser, breathed life into Moser crystal, and thus enchanted the world. From that moment onwards, Moser crystal has been a constant presence at royal weddings and meetings of the political elite and has been sought after by those with refined taste.
