Very rare fountain pen by the French luxury brand ST DUPONT dating from the 1990s. From the classic ST Dupont Montparnasse “Chairman” collection in the classic medium size version, made of ochre Chinese lacquer on a guilloche metal base with 23 carat gold plated accents. The jewel of Montparnasse collection, the Chairman is a pen that benefits from the combined talents of ST Dupont’s goldsmiths and master lacquerers. The barrel and cap are first guillocheed, coated in a honeycomb design in the goldsmith’s studio. Then it is handed over to the lacquerers who successively sand the metal and polish it and cover it with filtered and purified Chinese lacquer giving it both depth and clarity. The tiny differences in thickness give the pens nuances in hue that make each pen a unique piece. 18K yellow gold medium writing size nib. Uses ink cartridges. To refill the pen, the tab needs to be pulled back to the back of the pen (see photo 5) and unscrewed so that the block section can be removed. Length when cap is screwed shut = 13.60 cm 100% authentic and original (serial number engraved on the clip, see photo 6). The pen is in good condition, like new, flawless, it has only been tested. Comes with a ST Dupont case, no instructions, or ink refills.
