Domien Ingels (1881-1946) - 雕塑
Truly magnificent and very rare sculpture in ceramic by the well-known and sought-after sculptor Domien Ingels (Ghent 1881-1946), with the powerful representation of a prancing horse.
A beautiful work from the interwar period (1930s)
Monogrammed DI (for Domien Ingels) and also an old label (Ingels)
Together with Georges Minne, Geo Verbanck, and Léon Sarteel, Domien Ingels belonged to the best known Belgian and Ghent sculptors of the beginning of the twentieth century. He worked mainly during the interwar period where his style was entirely in line with the art deco style influenced by expressionism.
Much sought after animal sculptor (animal themes mainly horses and greyhounds and Barzoi).
H 34 cm
