Very beautiful and sharp version, finely modelled.
Fully covered with polychrome salt-glaze.
Rear of pedestal monogrammed EW = Edmund Wessling (1905 - 1980) was a German artist/ceramist/sculptor/modeller, see photo 10.
Bottom fully marked/stamped: ‘Terraco Dragon, Beesel, Made in Holland’.
Total dimensions: 38 x 13 x 11 cm.
Weight: 2390 grams
Can be dated around 1945-1950.
Made by ceramic studio Sint Joris in Beesel.
In wonderful and intact condition, without breakage.
Some superficial glaze flakes on the base edge, see photo 4 for this.
Without modern restorations.
The figurine stands nice and straight.
