A beautiful chess set from Florence, Italy. All pieces are marked with the lily flower, symbol of this town. The pieces are historical character dressed with renaissance clothes. They are in heavy metal, I think pewter. The white are shining and perfect. The black have a gold coat, I think they are brass plated; this coat is less shiny and have some scratches and little oxidetions here and there (pictures). The set is vintage/antique and had been use but still in very good condition. The board is in wood with a plastic lamina. The rest of the box is in wood. The red plastic that contain the pieces inside is thin and spoil in some point (pictures).
