Tibet 18th century
Kham Province.
Decorated with a swastika.

The swastika is also called the srivatsa.
It symbolises the revolution of the Sun, of the infinite and of continuous creation.
When the swastika turns clockwise, it represents the Universe's energy, the strength and intelligence; when it turns in counter-clockwise direction, it represents compassion.
Among Buddhists, the swastika is used to mark the beginning of Buddhist texts, as they consider it as a symbol of universal harmony, prosperity, plurality, luck, abundance, of Dharma, fertility, long life and eternity.
