Famous chairs designed by Josef Hoffmann for his Cabaret Fledermaus project at the end of 1907 (as you can see in a period photo), hence the name by which they are famous: "Cabaret". These two pieces are produced by Alivar which has included this Cabaret model in its Museum catalogue (as you can see in photos). The chairs are in good condition, meaning that the structure is solid and not broken, and the velvet of the seats has no tears, the black lacquer, on the other hand, has numerous chips and signs of wear due to use (as can be seen in photos), but with a restoration of the paint, they can easily return as new. A new lacquer finish is not very expensive and considering that a single new chair costs around €1000 (as you can see from the price list in the photo), the purchase of this pair of chairs is still a good deal.
