Paradoxides is a genus of large size trilobites found worldwide during the Middle Cambrian period.
Trilobites were a group of arthropods whose name tri-lobi-tes alludes to their body which was divided into 3 parts.
These sea invertebrates lived in the ancient seas and oceans, they were planktonic creatures, swimmers or reptant, and their feeding was basically scavenger, detritivorous or predatory.
They initially appeared at the beginning of the Cambrian period (570 m.y. ago) and became extinct in the late Permian period (240 m.y. ago). Trilobites are closely related to modern horseshoe crabs.
