A set of 17 wooden animals (Kangaroo, Ostrich, Mandarin, Lion, Squirrel, Penguin, Parrot, Duchs-Hund, Eer, Condol, Elephant, Bear, Pecker, Hippopotamus, Horn Owl, Monkey and Rhino) .
Tallest 13.5cm
"Royal Pet" is a series of wooden animals manufactured by a Japanese corporation Senshukai between the limited time of 1960-1970s.
Senshukai, originally a Kokeshi Doll manufacturer, got a hint in Scandinavian wooden toys, and made wooden toy animals called "Royal Pet" targeting children. All the toys are handmade by Kokeshi craftsmen, using Japanese cherry tree.
