Superb and rare set of 10 Anjou wine glasses in plain crystal and cut stem. Old glasses.
Height: 16 cm. Base diameter: 6.8 cm - Rim diameter: 6.4 cm
It was in the 1910s that the idea of an Anjou wine glass appeared, as a symbol of the region's identity, notably on the initiative of André Gilles-Deperrière and Raymond Brunet. In 1914, as a result of a competition for the creation of a glass, the Anjou wine glass was born.
This is a simple and noble looking glass, quite high mounted, whose straight stem carries a flat and wide bottomed cup, from which the walls rise by sloping slightly inwards, so as to narrow the opening somewhat.
