Fascinated by the 17th Century Old Master paintings, he arrived in the Netherlands in 2006 to study painting. Within a few years Hidenori Mitsue got renowned for his iconic tulip vases, flowers, portraits and landscapes he paints with an energy and persuasiveness that catapult them straight into the 21th Century. in Mitsue’s paintings skills and contemplation, art and identity, eastern an western influences melt together.
Mitsue has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Japan and the Netherlands. He is represented by Francis Boeske Projects.
