A beautiful and charming patinated bronze lamp by Louis Kley (France, 1833-1911). Representation of a young boy climbing on a gourd above two mice. Resting on a square base. Signed L. Kley.

Louis Kley (French, 1833-1911) was a sculptor born in Sens (Yonne) on March 17, 1833 and died in Celle Ville, France on March 8, 1911. He exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1853 and won a medal in the Barbedienne competition. He also exhibited and won a silver medal at the 1889 Universal Exhibition and other prizes at various Paris exhibitions. Kley's works in museums Museé de Sens, France - "Allégorie" - "Les Vestales" - "Brennus" Musée de Castres, France - "Buste du Cardinal Bernardon".
