Famed ATMOS clock by the house of Jaeger leCoultre, encased in glass with a 24 kt gilded housing.
This clock has a movement set with 15 jewels, is numbered 50245 with a calibre 528/1.
Production year based on serial number: 1952/1953.
Version with Arabic numerals:
The movement works on a self-winding system by means of temperature variation.
Movement and pressure box are good.
On the case is an engraved brass plate with the signature of the givers under the text:
" VICTOR N ROADSTRUM, With Our Warm And Affectionate Thanks For His Many Years Of Devoted Friendship 1953"

In good used condition, gold plating and numbers show light signs of use.

In 1928 engineer Jean-Léon Reutter invented the Atmos clock. The first designs were working with the expansion of mercury. In 1936 Jaeger LeCoultre decided to buy the design from Reutter and had it patented immediately. Since then Jager LeCoultre had the Atmos clock in series production.
