Authentic Comtoise coq clock from the 18th century. The clock is in original condition: old doors, bell, casting, hands, enamel dial.
The movement has been professionally restored and runs and strikes well.
The clock has a separate striking mechanism: half hour on a separate mallet. On the full hours repetition after 1 minute.
In the casting, the French lilies are still visible. During the revolution they had to be filed off for political reasons.
Long collapsible pendulum (from later date)
Alarm clock has been removed once, as is often the case.
Measurements: width 24.5 cm. Winding key and suspension bracket are included.
