Pair of highly unusual 19th century Chinese carved camphor wood panels carved in high to low relief.
They are made from camphor wood - a material often used for the carved sections of decorative Chinese cabinets as it is easy to work. The carved detail is in deep relief, depicting scenes from every day life.

Very good antique condition. Chip to one of the panels, wear to wood on panel edges.
