This is a pair (2) of original vintage 'Niva' (Rushing stream) 22cm tall vases designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Ittala, Finland, 1972.
Designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Ittala Finland in 1972, the beloved Niva series was in production until 1992: the Niva glasses and vases designed are interspersed with an embossing pattern in the middle, resembling a strong flow. Niva means a fast-flowing river: it is easy to find the effervescence of a wild-flowing river on the surface of the glass.
An authentic piece of Scandinavian / Finnish glass design of the 1970s.
Measures:
Height: 22cm // 8.66" (tall model)
Diameter: 7,2cm // 2.83”
Condition: Great condition. No chips, marks or scratches.
