Elizaveta Kalinina - Silhouette Behind (Big size)- self portrait
This collection consists of various self-portraits. A few years ago, I moved from Russia to Italy. I didn't have any contacts or friends here, so at first it was easier for me to do everything myself: to be a model and a photographer together. Then in the process, I realized that this self-portraits became a powerful way to express myself. The only person close to me is my partner, who is an Italian Painter. His attitude to search for the right lights in his artworks, as Caravaggio did, inspires me.
One of my self-portrait has been Bronze awarded in the 2021 Tokyo International Photo Awards (TIFA).
One of my self-portrait has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2020 Budapest International Photo Awards (BIFA).
