Kunio Kaneko (b. 1949) is one of the most loved and famous contemporary Japanese woodblock print artists. Favourite designs for his prints are: Koi carp, gold fish, trees, Mount Fuji, and traditional Japanese motifs (like kimonos). His prints are fully handmade. He often uses gold leaf (or silver) on coloured paper.
