The dock has some advantages over a Bluetooth keyboard: since it plug directly into the connector of the iPad, there is no wireless connection to be disturbed, and the keyboard doesn't use batteries. The keyboard also has a 30pin throughput connection as well as 3.5mm headphone jack breakout. A 30pin USB cable for charging and connecting to PC/Mac is included in the lot.
