Sculpture, 17th century, with a half-body representation of the upper part of a male figure, possibly St. Francis of Borja (?). He is in a frontal position, with an inexpressive face and gaze, a forked beard and a Franciscan habit. In the central part of the chest, there is an ovoid with a painting depicting the lying Dead Christ in the background and, above it, a repaint with the inscription "S. Francisco", a possible allusion to the last years of the life of St. Francis of Borja (?), who dedicated himself to imitate Jesus, as "the crucified servant of the crucified Lord". Both the relief surrounding the cavity in the chest, as well as the clothing, are profusely decorated with gilded ornamentation with phytomorphic motifs and trim on the hood, with a Greek ornament on a dark background. Above the base and below the V-shaped cut of the arms, a single strip of fabric was applied to conceal gouge grooves. This seems to be the result of a not very old restoration having used a mixture of wax and resin as adhesive. The habit is gilt.
