Up to auction is a collection of 15 so called kachina dolls from the Hopi tribe. The Kachinas were for great spiritual and educatif value to the hopi tribe. They served to teach children about the different kachina spirits and lead them to know the spiritual heritage of the tribe. I have no further information of the location of production nor the provenance, to my knowledge they were bought In the states by the father of the person I bought it from. The Kachinas were made out of cotton root and are of great value to collectors. Some of them have repairs (see photos) overall in good condition for their age.
