HETTIER & VINCENT - MULLER FRERES sea horses A rare French art deco pendant light by Hettier & Vincent in nickel plated bronze or solid brass holding a beautiful shade in clear frosted molded-pressed glass made by Muller frères. Hettier & Vincent was a large well known French lighting company producing high quality items. Wholesaler and retailer with its prestigious shop at the beautiful Place de Vosges in Paris. The rare and sought-after Muller 'hippocampe' bowl has a typical art deco design that unites a geometrical pattern and three sea horses. The pendant is 48,7 cm high and the bowl has a diameter of 35 cm. A similar canopy is represented in the old Hettier & Vincent product catalog. The chandelier is in very good condition. Tiny chips here and there, common for 100 years old lamp shades. They are not distracting and barely visible with the chandelier in place. I have re-nickeled and patinated the mounting. It is wired with an American standard socket. For European countries I will rewire it with a E27 socket and will add a good quality LED bulb to the parcel.
