Barrett is the second and final studio album of new material to be released by former Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett. Recording began on February 26, 1970 at Abbey Road Studios and lasted 15 sessions until July 21. The album was produced by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour and Richard Wright, who also contributed on bass and keyboards respectively, along with former Madcap collaborator Jerry Shirley on drums. Barrett was released by Harvest in the UK in November 1970 It was re-released as part of Syd Barrett in 1974, which was the first US release of those LPs.
