Impressive German set of 6 WMF glasses circa 1940s! Made by world renowned company WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik), a German tableware manufacturer, founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany. This fantastic set of 6 wine / water glasses, in the modernist style, is made from silver plated metal. The WMF maker's mark is on the underside: the letters 'WMF' inside a square with an arch, which was used from 1935-45. Each glass is stamped and in good condition, some slight signs of use and wear commensurate with their age. The set has not been polished, in fact you can see the nuances created over many years, so decided to leave it as it is. The future buyer will decide whether to polish it or not.
