You are bidding on a very fine 4/4 master violin, labeled Camillus Camilli fecit Mantua 1738. The instrument remains in excellent condition with professionally repaired cracks, old ebony set up, new strings and new bridge.
The violin has a straight high grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The varnish of golden amber color remains in excellent condition. The whole length of the violin is 592 mm and the back 354 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 160 mm; middle bouts: 110 mm; lower bouts: 197 mm. The sound is very deep, rich, warm and powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping by DHL or FedEx is possible and would be claimed according to your personal requirements.
