In 1991, five years after the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident on April 26, 1986, Seiichi Motohashi went to the site and began taking photographs. He set himself the task of capturing the activities of people and other living creatures that continued to live alongside the land despite the contamination, rather than the accident at Reactor No. 4 or the children suffering from illness. The results of this fieldwork culminated in his two previous photo books, "Winds from Chernobyl" and "Infinite Embrace," and this book is a further sequel." The photographer has successfully captured a further message hidden in the Chechtersk region of Belarus, when viewed from the perspective of "life" rather than the theme of "nuclear weapons. Winner of the 17th Ken Domon Award.
