Item Description:
This exquisite wooden sculpture represents Shakyamuni, the historical Buddha, in a serene meditative posture. The figure is adorned with gold leaf, highlighting its divine nature and the intricate craftsmanship of the Edo period. The inclusion of gyokugan (crystal inlaid eyes) brings a lifelike presence to the statue, enhancing its spiritual aura. This Buddha is depicted in traditional attire, with detailed carvings on the robe signifying its sacred status.
