Vintage kitchen scales 'AVERY' with brass weighing pan and set of weights from London.
Vintage metal kitchen scales in black, with solid brass weighing pan, and cast iron and brass weight set. They are a wonderful example of 'The AVERY' model and date from the mid 20th century. They come with a set of 15 weights, marked respectively 11lb, 8oz, 4oz, 2oz, 1oz and 1/4 0.5oz ,400g , 100g 50g,30g ,20g10g 5g and 1g. These scales, of exquisite traditional design, are highly collectible and would make superb decorations.
These scales are in good condition, with the normal signs of use and wear and tear of age (including some wear to the paper label, as shown in the photos). They work mechanically, but may need to be recalibrated after shipment before re-use. They can be easily calibrated.
