This Swiss built Direct Drive Lenco L744 DD auto-return turntable is in excellent and fully functional condition and is an unbelievable eyecatcher because of it’s progress-aligned lightstrip and cockpit-like front plate controls. This hard to find item was fully serviced in April 2024 and runs like a charm. The turntable runs at a stable 33/45 rpm and has pitch controls for both speeds, with a fully functional strobe light. There is also a switch for cueing, an automatic stop switch and an on/off switch on the front plate. When a record ends, the tone-arm automatically returns to base. There is a anti-skating wheel just behind the tone-arm rest. The most unique feature of this late 70’s turntable is it’s progress aligned lightstrip on the front plate, which has been perfectly re-aligned during servicing. At the start of a record the light strip is fully illuminated, to slowly fade out with the tone-arm’s progress over the record. Resting on height adjustable feet, this turntable can be user-balanced easily based on it’s positioning. The smoke-acrylic dustcover is in overall very smooth and clear condition while it shows a few lines and other signs of usage. Most notably there is a tiny dent in the lid on the topside near the front. The black/grey base is in very good shape - as can be seen on the photos. The unit comes with the original anti-static matt, counterweight, headshell and Shure M95EDM cartridge with needle in great condition. The turntable will be very carefully packaged in a strong box, multiple layers of bubble foam, airbags and other protective materials and with all loose parts secured.
