The first Godzilla-movie from director Ishiro Honda dates from 1954, or "Gojira" as the prehistoric reptile is called in Japan. Many a movies followed, until today with the global succes of "Godzilla x Kong: the new empire".
We offer two Belgian posters (both 55 x 36 cm) of movies from Japanese directors:
- Ishiro Honda: "Verschrikking van Godzilla".
The English title in not mentioned on the Flemish poster that was used for screenings in the iconic movie theatre Capitole in Antwerp.
But maybe the name of the director can help. I(n)shiro Honda was the director of the first Godzilla-movie from 1954 and he made many sequels afterwards. His last was "Terror of Mechagodzilla" in 1975. I'm just guessing that "terror" is possibly translated as "verschrikking". It's all I can tell.
- Jun Fukuda: "Godzilla, King of the Monsters", on the French movie poster advertised as "Godzilla 1980".
As far as I could find out the Japanese director Fukuda made six Godzilla-movies between 1966 and 1974. But once again, it's all I can tell.
Godzilla-fans will have to stand up. Anyway, the posters will be sent in a tube.
