Three well-used aluminium anklets, worn by women of the Fulani-tribe.
These anklets were a cheaper substitution for the anklets made of bronze.
Widely used in the Sahel-region of Northern Mali and Niger.
The protruding knobs are decorated on two of these presented anklets. The third anklets has knobs in a phallic design.
The two former mentioned anklets also have decorations on the anklet itself. The third anklet has a smooth design.
Collected in Mali in the early 2000nds.
