A nice collection of locally produced metal beads from different regions of Ethiopia, were they were worn by different peoples. The largest beads are made of red-copper wires, in two different designs. Dim.; apprx. 10 mm long and 5mm high. There are 4 ropes of this design. lenght of the ropes between 29 and 36 cm. The longest string is a piece of jewelry , worn as a necklace and decorated with coloured cotton threads. Made of metal beads 18 x 5 mm in dim. This is an Oromo-tribe piece of jewelry. lenght of the necklace 46 mm. Finally there are three necklaces made up of tiny copper and metal beads. Dim.; 3 x 2 mm. Lenght of the ropes 40 cm. Worn by tribes in the South of Ethiopia. Collected in this country in the 1990's.
