A collection of antique small bronze jewelry; mostly pendants. Found in the ground in deserted villages or on the eroded shores of rivers. Sometimes these pieces were given as a mortuary gift for the deceased. These pieces of jewelry date from the 17th to the 18th cent. and were found in the region of the city of Djenne in the river Niger-delta.
Central-Mali. Due to their ancient age and provenance oxydation has occured . All pieces were collected in situ in the late 1990`s.
