This is a 74 gram etched slice of the Campo meteorite. Campo del Cielo was first found in
Gran Gualamba Argentina in 1576. It is an Iron Coarse (IA).
In the past Campo has been easy to get but those day are gone. The supply has started
to dry up, so the price gets on the rise.
This slice is an authentic cut of this metallic meteorite where the Widmanstätten patterns
can be seen in its classical form of 'thick octahedrite' It has fusion crust on three sides of
the above perimeter, however with traces of slight rust.
Nice specimen with a charming size to add to your collection.
