An exceptional vintage gelatin silver print photograph, signed and dedicated by Che Guevara, 1962, This studio portrait of Che by Studio Naranjo, Havana, is the finest to come to market (in fact, only 2 or 3 photographs, signed by Che, have ever been offered for sale). The verso carries two cut and glued papers: ‘Cronología’ and ‘Ministerio de Industrias’. Che’s writing, in praise of Fidel Castro and the Revolution, is strong and legible. Some damage to the photographic paper, on two edges, but this does not impact the image and dedication one iota. It’s an incredible piece, from the collection of a septuagenarian philatelist in Havana. Josefina’s identity has been lost in the mists of time.
