Total dimensions base + compass: diameter 20cm, height 19cm Weight 2,4 kilos. This is probably the only chance to obtain this very, very rare compass. This piece, which was sold by the Musée de la Marine in Paris, faithfully reproduces the navigation compass of the boat "La belle poule" (The beautiful hen), commissioned in 1840 to repatriate to France the body of Emperor Napoleon who has been resting in Saint Helena since 1821. This compass has a mark in its center "Divised by LENNEL King and Navy Engineer 1781" and a mark on the bottom of the compass FM(Franklin Mint) 1988. See pictures for further description.
