Omega - 'Constellation Double Eagle' - Co-Axial Chronograph - Panda - Ref. No: 1519.51.00 - 男士 - 2011至现在

Welcome to my Top Swiss Chronographs Boutique! Omega SA is a Swiss luxury watchmaker based in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland. Founded by Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1848, the company formerly operated as La Generale Watch Co. until incorporating the name Omega in 1903, becoming Louis Brandt et Frère-Omega Watch & Co. In 1984, the company officially changed its name to Omega SA and opened its museum in Biel/Bienne to the public. Britain's Royal Flying Corps used Omega watches in 1917 for its combat units, followed by the U.S. Army in 1918, and NASA in 1969 for Apollo 11. Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympics since 1932 and is the current timekeeper of the America's Cup yacht race. Omega was a main partner of the 2022 Winter Olympics. Omega experienced a resurgence with advertisements that focused on product placement strategies, such as in the James Bond 007 films; the character had previously worn a Rolex Submariner but switched to the Omega Seamaster Diver 300M with GoldenEye (1995), and later an Omega Planet Ocean and Aqua Terra. At the heart of this timepiece is the Co-Axial escapement, a revolution in watchmaking when first introduced. The reduced stress on the moving parts means less need for lubrication, longer-lasting accuracy and a more stable power reserve rate. In short, this timepiece performs better for longer. Constellation is a line of watches from Omega, originally their top dress watch line and equipped with a chronometer-grade movement. Omega had produced high-end dress watches for decades, but the 1948 Century chronometer was a true achievement for the company. Celebrating Omega's 100th anniversary, the Century sported a bumper automatic movement with chronometer precision. Although not intended for serious production, the Century caught on with Omega fans and the company set about creating a full-production model. The Constellation was introduced in 1952 to follow the Century and capitalize on Omega's chronometer movements, which set records in Geneva in 1951. The eight stars on the dial represented Omega's chronometer achievements in the last 20 years, including a “sweep” of every category in 1931. In the United States, a trademark dispute caused Omega to sell the Constellation line under the Globemaster name until 1956. Many of these watches have just the stars on the dial rather than the Constellation name. Later, a lower line of Omega Globemasters was introduced in the United States. In the 1950's, Omega developed different standards of finish for the Constellation line. Notable wearers: - Joe Biden, 46th President of the United States of America - Wally Schirra, one of the first Americans in space; also the first astronaut to wear a Speedmaster on a space mission in 1962 - Neil Armstrong, first man on the Moon as an Apollo 11 astronaut - Buzz Aldrin, second man on the Moon as an Apollo 11 astronaut - Daniel Craig, actor - George Clooney, actor - Tom Hanks, actor; famously wore a Speedmaster Professional while portraying Jim Lovell in Apollo 13 - Richard Hammond, presenter from Top Gear and The Grand Tour - Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands - Mark Knopfler, musician - Jeff Bezos, Founder of Amazon and many many others. Clever investment: this rather rare watch is getting more expensive with every year! General professional pre-sale service was made in April 2024: the watch is keeping good time and working perfectly. High recognition value. Distinctive design. Red Omega watch box and service book (see pics). Excellent condition: never worn, comes from luxury watch-shop' showcase. The bracelet has been scaled down to sit firmly on the stand in the display case. Unfortunately, shortened links are not included. My personal authenticity and quality warranty: you will get warranty card (as pictured), fully completed and signed on the back. Insured, registered shipping worldwide.
