The Omas SENNA is a tributary fountain pen released around the year 2000, in cooperation with the Ayrton Senna Foundation. The pen is of course a tribute to Ayrton Senna, the legendary Brazilian race car driver, who after a meteoric rise in the world of motorsports, and global recognition as one of the greatest sportsmen of his time, met an untimely death in a racing accident in 1994. The model recalls in a way the classic Omas Ogiva due to its oval, oblong shape, but this is a completely modernized shape, that appears to be significantly more aerodynamic, with excellent curves, and the clip just slightly protruding from the whole torpedo shape. The pen has a metallic construction that is brought to an almost mirror-like polish, but once the cap is off the red resin that forms the grip appears. The pen has a dedicated 18kt gold nib with a special engraving, uses an integrated piston filling system. Senna Passion, this is the higher end of the two Omas Senna models.
