Jimi Hendrix ‎– Midnight Lightning (PROMO "Not For Sale") - is a posthumous compilation album by legendary guitarist Jimi Hendrix from 1975. The album was compiled by Hendrix's long-time producer Alan Douglas and contains a collection of previously unreleased studio recordings and alternate takes. The album includes tracks such as ‘Trash Man’, ‘Midnight Lightning’, ‘Gypsy Boy (New Rising Sun)’, ‘Blue Suede Shoes’ and ‘Machine Gun’. These recordings showcase Hendrix's virtuoso guitar skills, his innovative songwriting and his adventurous approach to music. Although some fans and critics have criticised the album for its posthumous release and the choices Douglas made in compiling the tracks, ‘Midnight Lightning’ nevertheless offers valuable insight into Hendrix's creative process and musical experimentation. Despite the mixed reactions, the album remains a part of Hendrix's discography and a reminder of his lasting influence on rock music.
