On the occasion of the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867, at the reception organized in honor of József Ferenc, the tables of the Elysée Palace were set with Apponyi-patterned Herendi sets. The sample made at the request of Count Albert Apponyi was made by enlarging a detail of the Indian flower basket (fleurs des indes).
