A Chinese patinated bronze sculpture of a man with receding hairline and a mustache, presumably Zhen Wu (also Xuan Wu or Xuan Di), ca 1900-1920, ca 8.8 cm. high, 5.8 cm. wide and 5.5 cm. deep. Seated in 'lilasana' on a dragon-decorated throne, with wide nose and piercing eyes, his hair in a bun, wearing a long pleated cloak decorated with meander patterns and 'shou'-characters, his right hand resting on his knee, the left clenched in front of his chest, in good condition.
