The lamp consists of timepiece in form of hourglass. The lamp shade is beautifully decorated with elaborate nautical scene with Dutch ships. The brass plaque on the lamp states Firenze 1784 with two crossed swords. We feel that the piece is in overall good original condition and had been treated against the wood wurm.
