M. Cornelius is my artist name, my pseudonym. I graduated with honors from the St. Joost art academy in Breda (the Netherlands), department of painting and drawing. My work is in private collections in the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, Spain, Sweden, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Austria and other countries. Working as a professional artist for more than 35 years. The painting is an abstract translation of what I have observed and experienced during my many walks in nature: the clouds, the atmosphere, the light (morning/day/evening), the reflections of the light on water, the silence, the colors, the cold and warmth, the vastness, the grandeur of nature, the wind, the memories of the landscape. For this painting I used photo’s taken during a walk nearby the village Zundert (Netherlands). The black colour intensifies the power of the image. Zundert is Vincent van Gogh's birth place. Technique: very good quality acrylic paint on a very good quality canvas. The painting with stretcherframe will be shipped in a cardboard box. You will receive a certificate of authenticity. Unfortunately, in some images of my painting you can see the moiré effect. It is caused by the structure of the cotton I paint on. I didn't paint this like that, but it is caused by photographing and uploading the photos. If you zoom in, the effect is gone. See information about this on the internet.
