Lyu Hanabusa is a female Japanese photographer ( born in 1949 ) , she lived in Paris for 8 years and learned her job with all the great French photographers, She has got prestigious awards and her exhibitions are always great success. She is a permanent member of the Nikkon association in Japan and others prestigious associtions.
Maruru is the name of a polynesian island ( Maruru Mapiti ) and also the word in Tahitian langage to say thank you. Hanabusa takes us on the traces of Paul Gauguin ( his tomb is in Hiva Oa, another island of the Archipel)
We feel all along the book an immense tranquility and the importance of the element Water in Polyneasian's life.
Released in 1997, softcover with jacket and Obi, 150 pages , stayed in excellent conditions.
