These tickets were issued by the Uruguay Football Association in ticket booklets containing tickets for each game. However, the Uruguayan Football Association has issued a few standing room ticket booklets to deserving employees. Standing room tickets are absolutely rare as they were not available in advance. These had to be purchased in front of the stadium on the day of the game. These day tickets were probably only numbered (for the tax authorities) and there was no reference to the World Cup on the tickets. This was common practice around the world until the 1970s, as day tickets in front of the stadiums usually did not offer any information about the game or event, only a sequential number could be found on the tickets. The older football fans will probably still remember. There are no counterfeits of these tickets on the market yet, unlike seating tickets. Please note that there is a small tear at the bottom of the ticket like visible on the photos.
