Excellent Hungarian art deco ceramics. Hand painted with white glaze, moulded and hand made. The statue was designed by the famous Hungarian sculptor Árpád Turcsányi (1921-1998). Dimensions: 30.5 x 6 x 5 cm. Árpád Turcsányi Between 1940-46 he began his studies at the School of Applied Arts, where his masters were Béla Ohmann, Dezső Erdey and József Reményi. Between 1946-49 he studied at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts under Pál Pátzay. 1947-50: head of the art circle of the Ganz Electricity Factory, taught pattern making. 1950-55: head of the art circle of the Csepel Works. Several of his small sculptures were bought by the Képcsarnok Company for reproduction. From 1947 he participated in group exhibitions.
