Bajan is a limited release on the occasion of the 8th anniversary of Stokerij De Molenberg. Bajan is the Creole language spoken on the Caribbean island of Barbados, known for its sun-drenched beaches, vast sugar cane plantations and rum production. Based on their distinct flavor profile, we selected 2 different types of rum barrels for this edition. A maturation of more than 5 years in the oldest barrels provides full-bodied, soft notes of raisins and honey. The younger rum barrels from Barbados were mixed with this and bring a refreshing mix of spicy notes. This results in a beautifully balanced whiskey with a distinctly soft taste, rounded off with a surprising tropical touch.
