Ahmed Abdulkader

I specialise in historical functional objects and instruments from the 19th and 20th centuries, with a particular interest in mechanical craftsmanship and material culture. My focus includes weighing instruments, scientific and optical devices, mechanical clocks, workshop and kitchen tools, as well as early measuring instruments from the pre-electronic era. Alongside these, I occasionally offer ethnographic objects and early lithic tools that illustrate traditional craftsmanship and historical technologies. Many items are sourced through personal travel across cities and regions in Austria and Central Europe, including estate finds, private collections and flea markets. Occasionally, pieces are acquired directly from galleries or dealers in their countries of origin. Each object is carefully examined, documented and gently cleaned or conserved while preserving its original patina and character.
