The Pixie Grippa is a very compact 78 rpm gramophone from 1924, manufactured by Perophone from London. The device is capable of playing acoustic records. It will be possible to play 30 cm records after you slid the wooden motor board a few centimetres forward. On the left behind the engine board is a square recess for a needles box. The pick up arm is collapsible. The built-in Thorens spring engine is wound on the front with a handle that is stored inside the box. Immediately to the left of the handle opening is the brake, also the fine-tuner for the rotation speed. A very decorative object with a perfectly functioning motor. The motor is “Made in Switzerland”. Including 3 needles. Condition: - incomplete, there should have been an aluminium horn, but it’s missing. - The wooden cabinet upholstered with leather paper is damaged, discoloured and the leather handle is torn. - the pick up arm is damaged. - The felt of the turntable is damaged and loose.
